    Buy 2017+ V7 or 2017+ Bonneville T100?

I think I am fairly skilled and I used to own 2012 Stelvio so I know what to expect. I think these bikes are even easier to service than BMW boxers and I had four in the past. What I don’t know is how problem free (especially electrics) these V7s are and how/if I can access spare parts if...

    Buy 2017+ V7 or 2017+ Bonneville T100?

Here is the question - would you buy a used low mileage V7 if you lived almost 500 kms from nearest dealer? I am in Saint John, NB nearest dealer in Quebec City, QC. I am pretty handy in servicing my motorcycles myself as I have done on 24 of them in last 30+ years. V7 is my choice #1...

V7 vs Stelvio (or Bonneville) engine noise.

Well, I did not miss it, I lived with it for one (fairly hot) season, put over 10k kms on it. Maybe I had a bad copy of 1200 ntx, it was frying my knees, everything running red hot 🥵 including shaft drive and I couldn’t find ear plugs good enough to suppress the noise.

V7 vs Stelvio (or Bonneville) engine noise.

Is there a difference in mechanical noise between V7 versions? I will be looking preferably at ii or iii, the latest ones are too heavy for me.

V7 vs Stelvio (or Bonneville) engine noise.

Coming back to this site after more than 9 years, I had then 2012 Stelvio 1200 NTX. Sold the Stelvio after one season and one of main reasons was the excessive engine noise, especially the whining transmission. I did not mind the valves train “music” but the rest was rather overwhelming and did...

    Online parts source in Canada

I am pretty close to buying a 2007 MG Breva 1100. As there are no MG dealers in Atlantic Canada, I will be pretty much on my own for service and maintenance. I am OK with that as I have maintained all my bikes in my 30+ years of riding. However I will undoubtedly need some parts at some point -...

    Buying a 2007 Breva 1100 - help

Hello forum, it has been quite a while since I was active here, first as an owner of new 2012 Stelvio and later as potential buyer of another Stelvio, that time a used 2009. While I have now a midsize ADV bike, I am looking for a second bike, more street oriented. I have an opportunity to buy a...

2009 Stelvio – somebody talk me out of it…

Another thing. How serious is the issue with "undergreased" swing arm and steering head? Should I be addressing this right a way on 2009 bike with 26k kms ? BTW, it turned out that ECU map update was done before the roller tappet kit install.

2009 Stelvio – somebody talk me out of it…

Thanks for the info, Lannis. I am still researching the web and trying to make my mind. You actually touched an issue - when I looked through service paperwork on this bike, it states that roller tapet kit C was installed, but mapping was not upgraded. Not sure what my options are with no...

2009 Stelvio – somebody talk me out of it…

So I test rode today a 2009 Stelvio 4V, 26k km on the clock in pristine/showroom condition. Dealer maintained, all records available, the roller tappet kit C installed by dealer. Comes with the original Guzzi hard cases. First owner, the guy is asking $5k CAN. I should point out that in last...

    Valve Clearance for Roller Tappets

A follow up question. Does the 2009 Stelvio 4V has the same issue with the flat tappet cam followers as the 2012 Stelvio 8V NTX? I am looking here at 2009 Stelvio 4V in amazing shape with 25k kms on the clock. Is this roller tapet kit install a DIY job if I had to do it myself?

    V85 TT Info

Thanks guys for helpful reviews. Others, keep adding to it please. I am not in market for one this year, but next year it might be different story... My biggest problem, living in Moncton, NB, is that there are no MG dealers in whole Atlantic Canada. My nearest dealer is in Quebec City, some...

    V85 TT Info

I have downloaded the manual for this bike to learn about the specs and maintenance. Front suspension has 168 mm travel, which is so so, the rear has 102 mm travel which would be barely enough for a street bike, but definitely not enough for an enduro. Not quite sure how it will ride off road...

    V85 TT Info

Make sure you share your impressions of the bike. Not just ride, comfort, etc., but how the engine and trany sound (my 2012 Stelvio had a set of iritating whines, different for each gear), does everything get hot, engine, cylinder covers, final drive.

    V85 TT Info

I would rather hope that some real owners of this bike start commenting on it...Looks like bike might be in production but not at dealers yet.

So still no V85tt owners to comment on the bike? Are they being sold in NA yet?

    V85 TT Info

As for Stelvio, the NTX model came out in 2012, at least here in Canada. In fact it was in such a demand that dealers in Alberta were asking for $1000 reservation downpayment... As for the Tracer GT, I am pleasantly surprised, mind you have only 750 kms on it so far. The engine has more power...

    V85 TT Info

I really wanted this V85tt bike, I like the brand, I like the features, its looks an I like the price. I sold my Africa Twin early in February and was seriously considering to wait for the bike to hit the dealerships. But then the bad memory of my early 2012 Stelvio NTX prevailed and I changed...

    V85 TT Info

BTW, I think that Canadian MG HQ is in Quebec where they have at least half a dozen official dealers. None in whole Atlantic Canada... Here in Moncton, NB, there was a dealer till, I think, 2016 when they dropped the brand. http://www.motoguzzi.com/ca_EN/moto/

    V85 TT Info

No way! I burned myself in 2012 when I had to pay $1000 booking fee on new Stelvio NTX then in high demand and short supply. Purchased the bike without test driving it and after first 100 kms realised that I do not like it for many reasons, long story. Sold it after one season...
