Hi,
Been struggling for years, since 2011, with lots of sometimes small, other times big, electrical problems with my 2009 Stelvio. Parts of the harness has been bypassed, the starter conversion was been done, fuse holders replaced, etc. As I want to keep the bike is it feasible to rewire the...
I don't have these seat bolsters either. Have had the bike since 2011 and always thought the seat forces you forward into the tank. These fitted would make that worse as I don't secure the seat on its screw-in mounts to allow it to be lower at the back.
Bike is very well maintained but is now 13 years old, has been kept outside under a cover for some years so has suffered from electrical corrosion. The block connected below the headstock was replaced some years ago as it deteriorated into green dust despite having a full dealer service history...
No I am not. As my Stelvio is a 2008 model the wiring is 13 years old. Despite mine and in earlier times, Guzzi dealers, best efforts to clean and lubricate the dozens of electrical connections they will degenerate with moisture, road salt, power washing, etc. As many of them are buried beneath...
Sorry, forgot to reply to this! New sensor didn't fix it. Tried one off a friend's and that worked. Got rid of the warning so faulty part supplied. Returned it and was send another that didn't fit! Received a third and going to fit that!
Batteries all died early. No warranties in UK on...
Sorted now. New sidestand cut-out switch fixed it. The old one disintegrated on removal! Had to drop the sump to fit. Bad design or production engineer cock-up!
Did you know that in the UK at least it is unlawful to demand a full dealer service history? If you can prove through record keeping that the bike has received servicing from a 'suitably competent person' this is regarded in law as a reasonable substitute. I was told this by an official from the...
Hi All,
2009 model, new problem not happened before. Bike starts fine but does going into gear. Won't start in gear either with no clicking from relays, just a dead starter. Is this a neutral sensor issue or a clutch cut-out sensor issue? Or is it entirely something else?
Hi All,
Curious electrical gremlins have infected my 2009 Stelvio (again). The headlight bulbs blew when the second MotoBatt battery died in two years and I thought there was also a charging fault but all checked out ok. New battery and bulbs fitted and back on the road. 30 miles later the ABS...
Belt intact, no signs of wear, correctly tensioned too. Checking circuits for continuity, as well as fuses. They all look intact but will check them for continuity too. Any other suggestions anyone?
