Just had my recall work done and speedo sensor fixed, but when I asked about getting the new map I was given a very definate no from my dealer :( . Might try your hair bobbin idea Dec, do you have any pics of your mod ?
I have the KTM guards, as flipper says about £36, got mine online from Thorne KTM, the Guzzi ones were'nt available at the time, but looking at them I would'nt be able to fit through my gate with them on !
They all do it ! I think there is a different map available not sure of the code, I am going to ask my dealer when my bike is in for the engine recall, because mine hunts on constant throttle and is very snatchy rolling on and off the throttle at lower rpm's.
Been out for a ride today, WD 40 did not do the job, my dealer has said they will replace the sensor when my bike is in for the service recall 23rd April, so may just wait till then, still every cloud has a silver lining, i'm not adding any mileage to the clocks and have discovered that I can...
Excellent test report, I've not ridden a GS and now I won't have to ! Am in agreement about the exhaust, I am on similar mileage to you and have noticed a very nice snarl when heading towards the redline !
Does it have a bigger fuel tank ? If not buy the standard bike and add farkles as you see fit, I can't see that knobbly tyres are going to help you offroad one of these hefty beastie's !
I have exactly the same problem, thing is my bike has been in the shed for the winter, I did wash it before I put it away, maybe that messed it up, is this a warranty issue ? Or should I fix it myself ?
I wasn't as lucky as you Radders, got an email from M&P with the new price of £74.99 less a discount of 15% if I wanted to proceed,as I find the standard screen ok, I am giving it a miss, thought it was a too good to be true price !:(
Hi Radders, mine occasionally registers full, usually about 10mins from filling up, mind you these bikes are a sod to fill to the brim, I usually end up inadvertantly filling my tank cubby when the fuel gushes up the filler neck !
Yes I get the same, although have not used my Stelvio in the really cold weather, so not been as badly affected, I used to have a Multistrada which was terrible on that front and I often thought about putting a bag of Selica Gel somewhere inside the instruments, I didn't get round to it, but the...
Hi Flipper, yes exactly right, I can just give the Cagiva a quick rinse every so often, I would probably spend more time cleaning my Stelvio than riding it, don't think a new Gt 1000 would help in that respect 'cause you will want to clean that as well !
Welcome back Hatdiver/Flipper ! I too have taken time out from my Stelvio and got a Ducati, although not quite as new as yours and possibly not even a Duke ! Although Cagiva did own them at the time, I was looking for a powerwasher at the time, to clean my Stelvio and thought it would do much...
