Road Weazel
Just got it firing!
I just picked up an '02 California Special Sport Aluminum with around 3000 miles and she's not running quite right. I originally attributed this to bad gas but it's still not right after draining and filling with fresh gas.
The bike has a hard time taking throttle and the idle is low. It will go down the road at 65 or 70 but it takes more throttle than I think it should and opening it further will slow you down.
I know the newer BMWs (and others) will have the fuel pump fail if they sit for extremely long periods of time so I will check fuel pressure later today. I will also check the airbox for critter nesting or food storage.
The charcoal can has been removed and the vacuum line plugged, but otherwise I believe the bike to be 100% stock.
Any other thoughts?
Thanx!
