New to me bike, has 10k miles - I noticed it was harsh over bumps/didnt seem to have rebound damping which led me change the fork oil and seals. Upon pulling the fork legs, I noticed the rebound leg was like a pogo stick. Went through the Compression leg, no issues, diassembled, cleaned, new fluid, works fine. On to the rebound leg - same process, but its still like a pogo stick - the cartridge only has any resistance in maybe the last inch or two of suspension compression. Before that, almost nothing. Fully disassembled and cleaned, pulled cartidge from fork leg, didnt see anything obvious but not quite sure what im looking for. Reassembled, filled with fluid, pumped, let sit, no difference. All but that last inch or two of travel is all spring/no damping.

Any ideas? what am i missing? Go buy matris?(still need to get it through inspection and tagged though). Did a bunch of searching and havent come up with much. Thanks in advance if someone can point me in the right direction

I just did a set couple days ago, these been set at both comp & reb at 3/4 open on screw and 9 tuns on spring. This setting feels great, like a sport bike. 2 turns open on screw is loose as it's going to get and closed is tight. I set Griso's the same way, seems to work OK. Forks I just did have 34K on them. I've changed seals once on this one and once on another Stelvio w/similar mileage. Both have same settings and work well in N GA Mtns.

Guess I should clarify- I have almost zero rebound damping, regardless of settings. Even with the cartridge out of the fork leg and in a bucket of oil, there’s no resistance until the last two inches of travel. Assuming an internal cartridge issue- can they be opened/repaired?

Probably best to replace it. Either with a stock Guzzi unit, or upgrade both sides with the product at the store tab.
