Hello, I am in the process of refurbishing a 1975 850t. The bike seems to idle fine; however, when I Rev the engine and the bike begins to settle back to idle it slows past idle cuts out and dies. Any ideas? I have cleaned the carbs to the best of my ability.

No expert but start by checking the mixture screws assuming you haven't already. Wind both in until they bottom out then start with 1 and a half turns out. From there try small adjustments in or more likely out and see if that improves it.
Has bike been sitting for awhile?

Yes it has been in a barn or garage for the past 20 years.

Update: started to look into electrical. Noticed only one cylinder was firing, tested plugs. No spark for cylinder one, spark for cylinder 2. Switched plugs to see if it was the cables and got spark on both plugs? Battery is dead right now but will try again in a few.

If stock the coils are under tank, find out how long you need & go to auto parts store that has an assortment of lengths. Even strait caps are OK if you use a resistor plug. New wires make a difference. Good Luck
The cap that unscrews from coil holding wires in is usually brittle & rubber insert dried. Look inside, there is a pin that sticks in center of plug wire, it may be corroded.

Thank you for the info.
