It’s that time of year guys, light the coals or flash up the grill. Daughter recently arrived from the UK and as usual the menu has been planned for the week. Tonight we have garlic potatoes, oriental salt & pepper chicken, pork burgers, ribs in sauce and homemade coleslaw.
    Stay safe all.

Grand, but, IMO, your attractive offerings need mutton to be complete.

Don’t tell me that’s your back yard Bill. ;)
Although I like going to restaurants as much as the next guy, it is obligatory at the moment to wear masks when out and about (no fun when it’s about 30 degs C), so to be honest I’d rather knock something up at home .

Touché from my stone pizza oven. Dough recipe from my friend Carlo from Bologna, IT, in rosso w/Italia sausage and 4-cheese white.

Nah. St Mary's of the Woods, Whitesville, Kentucky. Our "home" parish since 1829, and named for where "my Hagans" started in St. Mary's City, Maryland, in 1662! The annual muttonfest has been happening since 1863, and the guys you see in that pic "inherit" the honor of working from fathers and grandfathers all the way back!

I have posted several ride reports of my annual (and, occasionally, semiannual) moto-romps there in the ride-report section. Here's one: https://bill-and-kathi.smugmug.com/Men-Motorcycles-Mutton/n-GRNH7j/

This year, the May event was turned inti a "drive-thru," not worth riding 1600 miles to & back for that; worried about September's, but still planning on it.

We don't eat out much, either, for all the reasons you mention.

Very nice Todd, home made definitely better than shop bought. A little effort can reap great rewards. Bit like owning a Guzzi.

    Now that’s what I call a steak.

The old adage. If its brown it’s cooked. If it’s black it’s buggered. :(
