Well that is what it is called in the downloadable V7C manual. It is the cap headed bolt which goes into the swingarm above the rear brake calliper. When I removed it to take the wheel out, it had spalled onto the swing arm and damaged the thread in the aluminium alloy. I would advise anyone to take out this bolt in their new V7 and put coppaslip on it.
By the way at 12000 miles the rear brake pads are worn out and the rear wheel bearings were shot.
Excellent service from Cupar Motorcycles in Bonnie Scotland who spotted the shot bearings and changed them for under £5 labour.
