Changing headlight bulb

A follow up and possibly redundant question:
What type of screw driver is needed to remove the 4 back cover screws of the headlight case (California 1400 Custom)?

The screw heads appear to be either really small torx, or my blind cataract eyes ain't seeing things properly.

Turned out it was a simple Phillips screw driver, albeit a fairly small size.

Hi there all, I have a Cali 1400 SE 2016 model and I was wondering has anyone taken the front lense cover off the headlight, I have a few dead bugs in there I would like to clean out. I have been in the back where you change bulbs etc but I cannot see a way from there to remove the front. In a workshop manual I have it shows the cover coming off but no description of how. Thanks.

I looked at the parts manual and that didn't help. My suggestion is to remove the bulbs from the rear and try a vacuum cleaner.
 
If you're talking about outside of the headlight between the bottom of the outer lenses and the chrome ring/door, I just hit it with the water nozzle to flush them out.

No they are inside laying just behind the front cover. I have a breakdown of the headlight and it shows it apart and of course they had to build it in the first place. So the front has been fitted but there appears to be no screw fastening them together or a position for a pry bar/screw driver or anything.

I am wondering if you take out the bulbs and use a hammer handle etc and try and pop ti off from through the access gained from inside the back of the assembly.

Some body some where will know I guess.
 
I had to replace the headlamp on my Breva 1100 a while ago. While I had the damaged lamp in my hands I attempted to strip it down. A fruitless task, the chrome ring is glued in place, it looks like a hot glue is run around the lip and then the ring is pressed in place. I tried heating it in the oven to soften it but to no avail. If its anything like mine I can say with confidence that it will not "pop off"
 
So I still have the headlight off my wrecked Cali and here is what I found, the chrome ring is screwed in from the front of the headlight ( see pic ) then the lens is glued in from there so its not coming out being once the lens is in you can't get to the screws!

Okay, now I know. I thought that this might be the case. I didn't want to wreck a good headlight trying to find out for myself.
