I have a wiring issue on my 07 Breva 1100 and would like to know if any one can assist with locating a wiring diagram for the dashboard. I have an issue with my headlights and would like to know where the wiring goes inside the dashboard for the light pin out. Secondly as I have not taken the dash apart(the only thing I have not taken apart) and would like to know if any one can tell me is it a printed circuit board or actually a harness. If it is a printed circuit card can one be purchased separately. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Hi Tinkerfreak, I have a 07 Breva 1100 dash that is faulty and in bits, it was given to me by James Betres who frequents this site occasionally, anyway i found it facinating, your welcome to it to see whats inside and see if you can sort out your headlight problem. Let me know if your interested.

If you told us what the original problem was, maybe we could give more suggestions.
The headlight is switched on when engine revs reach about 800rpm. I assume you have confirmed that the relays involved are working correctly. I believe the lighting pin on the dash puts an earth on to allow the relays to operate.

Sorry for the delayed response, been overwhelmed by other projects. Problem was no low or hi beam. Ringing out the wires determined the ground at the lights to be good but no voltage. Verified the relay and wiring form handlebar switches but yet had 12V on both sides of the relay coil side preventing the switch from activating and not providing power to the lights. Removed the wire from pin 85 on the relay and added a wire at this location to a known good ground and voila, lights. So I dug into the harness at the dash and verified 12V coming from pin 23 at the dash, so as does Brian, I also believe this pin should be providing a ground as pin 86 on the relay from what the wiring diagram shows is the 12V source. In the interim I have put in a cheater ground at this location but not sure how to proceed as I really do not want to be shipping off my dash for repair or overhaul but know that eventually this internal short will cause other issues in the future. Will have to keep my eyes(and ears) open for a used dash assy just need to look at the wiring diagrams to see what the differences are for pin outs for the units used in different countries.

Now I have also got a leak from the injector fuel feed line at the line coming from the fuel pump right at the T.

Cheers
