So, Wednesday I came home after short trip back from work. In the garage I cut the engine by putting down the kick-stand but let the key be in the 'on' position. After a few seconds I noticed that the front ligth went off - not a gradual fade but like turned off. I was in hurry and did not think more about it. Untill Saturday when I found the bike to be completely and utterly dead without even light in the dashboard.
Today after 12 hours on the charger the bike could be started, however a little reluctantly. The charger's leds indicated that it was still charging and had not yet reached 80%. Before starting the engine, the dashboard voltage reading was 11.4, when driving it showed 13.9-14.1, and when parked after the drive 12.1.
Now, what s this about? And what should be done?
I don't know if this issue could be related to a visit to my dealer 10 days ago. The visit was for warranty work on cross over pipes and sealing of headlamp. As part of the workshop's routine, the bike was linked up to PAD and the ECU was acting funny, showing an unknown error and showing crazy readings like 3 mio miles on odometer. After consultation with Piaggo, the ECU was exchanged on the spot with an ECU from a mashine in the show room. Until Wednesday everthing apperard normal and during my short ride this afternoon i did not notice anything unusual.
Any help would be much appreciated.
