Engine cutting out over 5000 rpm

I have tried several search terms but I cannot seem to find a post from someone with similar problems. I have a 2012 Griso SE with Todd's ECU reflash, airbox ring, a PC-V / Autotune and a Mistral slip on. As I go past 5000 rpm (or so) the engine starts to cut out like it is not getting fuel. I suppose that it could be that spark is the problem. Curtis Harper suggested that I might try snipping the spark plug wires just above the boot and then screwing the boot back on, because of connection issues he has seen. I also have new NGK boots, just in case.

Recently, I have smelled gas after shutting the bike off. I assume that this means a rich condition (or a leak).

I used Guzzidiag to rest the TPS thinking that this may be the problem, but no change. This does not happen every time, or in any particular gear. Sometimes it goes all of the way up in first gear with no issues, but then second gear starts to cut out again, just as I pass about 5000 rpm.

Any help / suggestions are greatly appreciated.
 
If you're sure you haven't gotten some bad gasoline, I'd

1. Remove the plug wire covers, start the engine and look for arcing. Make sure all the wires are secure at the coils. Go ahead and replace those plug boots too.

2. Pull the spark plugs and examine their appearance. If you've got a single O2 sensor and both plugs are sooty, it's possible you've got a bad O2 sensor causing the bike to over fuel. If you've got an O2 sensor for each cylinder, you would probably see one sooty plug if the sensor is the problem. Check the wires leading to the Autotuner for damage too.
If both plugs look good, not sooty ......

3. Remove the injectors and observe their spray pattern while cranking it over.

You can also go back to a previous map that ran fine on the PCV, unplug the Autotuner and go for a ride. If it runs ok, you have isolated the problem to your O2 Autotune feedback loop.
 
Thank you very much for the suggestions, Stevie. I will do these steps this weekend. I do have a single O2 sensor (AT-200) with the Autotune.

And for the record, the PC-V/AT was not properly set or bought from me.
