I have tried several search terms but I cannot seem to find a post from someone with similar problems. I have a 2012 Griso SE with Todd's ECU reflash, airbox ring, a PC-V / Autotune and a Mistral slip on. As I go past 5000 rpm (or so) the engine starts to cut out like it is not getting fuel. I suppose that it could be that spark is the problem. Curtis Harper suggested that I might try snipping the spark plug wires just above the boot and then screwing the boot back on, because of connection issues he has seen. I also have new NGK boots, just in case.
Recently, I have smelled gas after shutting the bike off. I assume that this means a rich condition (or a leak).
I used Guzzidiag to rest the TPS thinking that this may be the problem, but no change. This does not happen every time, or in any particular gear. Sometimes it goes all of the way up in first gear with no issues, but then second gear starts to cut out again, just as I pass about 5000 rpm.
Any help / suggestions are greatly appreciated.
