As ya guessed it, I had my first lowside... I know the road I was on, been on it loads of times, know tricky corners, yet managed to crew up. I went in a corner a wee bit too wide and lucky enough I found a patch of sand on the road right where it was supposed to be LOL I have a little cut on a shin and that's it, not even a bruise elsewhere, except severely bruised ego... Was barely any speed left so slid only a foot on a tarmac and few more feet in a gravel ditch, helmet didn't even touched the ground. I always advocate proper riding gear and never go ride without it. I landed softer than I thought I would. My pants are with padded hips, and leather jacket is thick 1mm cowhide, padded all the way. I bet if I had a T-shirt on my shoulder would be skinned raw and broken atm... I blame nothing but myself for a noob'ish rider's target fixation mistake, it was avoidable. As I was leaning in that corner I though "Yeah, that's a bit wider than usual but all good, this turn is fine... oh look! a patch of crap on the road I don't want to hit!" :D
Oh well, I learned something today, and my girlfriend needs a little makeup now- exhaust needs to be re-painted and re-wrapped, do something with valve cover and sparkplug cover. There's some scratches on a tank as well, dunno yet what am I gonna do with that yet...

All of that, is transitory and repairable.

The only thing of importance is that you are alright! Thank God!

Now, we get to watch more of Mindis’ Mad Skills!

Could have been way worse. Glad you made it out relatively lightly.
My mind echos the words I hear as I ride.
Target fixation, head up eyes up, look where you want to go, ride as if invisible etc etc
Safe travels.

Bikes heal quick, riders not so much. Glad to see your damage was minor. ;)
Crash-bars are so needed on Guzzi twins... I know they aren't cool, but they serve a solid purpose.
Do they make a decent set of crash guards for the first gen Norge? I’ve seen the Carc guard that bolts on where the rear caliper goes, my bike’s PO installed highway pegs way out front that I guess act like minor protection.

Only 2 kind of riders, A) those that have fallen B) those that will fall. I did a belly flop a couple years ago, almost stopped.
Bragging rights now.

Belly flop? I’m trying to picture the crash required to achieve that move. It’s not tempting.

Yeah, I'm fine, beside the fact that I'm butthurt and mad at myself. I know I'll get over it eventually... LOL
Timing of this slide is bad for me as well. I just started my moving process to another house that has a shop (that I was dreaming of for years) and just swamped with work atm, as well as trying to set up my new shop after work... That means I have only very short time window to do repairs and no time for it. aaaand... I have other parts to finish... LOL

Yes, coming down a hill to stop at light in R turn lane, using front brake only & a hair more was too much. Front wheel slid out on me to the right. Pavement was slick from cars turning. Didn't want to put arms out to get broken, so I took it on my chest. I was almost stopped. Didn't try to stop EV from falling, just let it go.
