As ya guessed it, I had my first lowside... I know the road I was on, been on it loads of times, know tricky corners, yet managed to crew up. I went in a corner a wee bit too wide and lucky enough I found a patch of sand on the road right where it was supposed to be LOL I have a little cut on a shin and that's it, not even a bruise elsewhere, except severely bruised ego... Was barely any speed left so slid only a foot on a tarmac and few more feet in a gravel ditch, helmet didn't even touched the ground. I always advocate proper riding gear and never go ride without it. I landed softer than I thought I would. My pants are with padded hips, and leather jacket is thick 1mm cowhide, padded all the way. I bet if I had a T-shirt on my shoulder would be skinned raw and broken atm... I blame nothing but myself for a noob'ish rider's target fixation mistake, it was avoidable. As I was leaning in that corner I though "Yeah, that's a bit wider than usual but all good, this turn is fine... oh look! a patch of crap on the road I don't want to hit!"
Oh well, I learned something today, and my girlfriend needs a little makeup now- exhaust needs to be re-painted and re-wrapped, do something with valve cover and sparkplug cover. There's some scratches on a tank as well, dunno yet what am I gonna do with that yet...
