Hello everyone. I’m the new owner of a very nice 2009 Stelvio, and I must say, I’m loving this bike so far. But, it hasn’t been without some issues. It currently needs a new dashboard. The dealer got one in to replace it as part of the purchase, so I was there yesterday for them to install it. But it turned out that it was a used dashboard which they didn’t have the user code for, so they couldn’t get it to work. My new guy question is …. Is there a way to get around this user code or will it require a new dashboard with no user code previously entered? Thanks in advance for any assistance provided.

Hi Bill, search is your friend. We can’t always repetitively answer questions here that have been extremely well covered. Also have a look in the CARC section too, which you’ll find the great post below, and have a look at Scott’s cam update post in that section if you haven’t.

Thanks for the link to Scott’s information. I’ve read through it and understand that you can’t bypass the user code. So, I have a Stelvio with a dashboard that does not work. The screen goes blank a few seconds after starting the engine. Am I correct in saying then that my only option to replace it is with a new dashboard that has not been programmed with a user code?

You can send it to Carmo to see if it can be repaired. Also provide a new key and the key already programmed and they will program them to the dash. Then you can enter a user code. I recommend using the maintenance code for the bike. You only have to remember one code.
