GTM Secondary Air Supply (SAS) V7-9 Block-off Kit

One question, is it possible that deleting the sas can also change the sound of the exhaust? I currently like the sound of my agostini, I took out the catalyst from the H pipe. I would like to block the sas, but the guzzi tech store does not deliver to my country. Can I just block sas reed valve on the cylinder heads?
It’s not directly impacting the exhaust , but it does affect the engine so it may change the way the engine runs / bike sounds.
Not a mechanic OR engineer ;)

I did my SAS delete when I had stock exhaust and stock fuel mapping, and there was no visible changes in exhaust sound

Thanks for the answers about the sound of the exhaust, but how to do it effectively without the cover for the cylinder heads, is it enough to plug each inlet on the cylinder head and disconnect all the pipes, and only release the valve, of course connected to the ecu

That's it.
I left the valve on it's holder but taped up each port.

I understand about the valves, but the holes on the cylinder heads, how did you close that without adequate Tod caps. I can't order them because they don't deliver to my country, how do you find another alternative, thanks

You would have to have plates manufactured using the Guzzi as a template.

We're struggling with successful deliveries using USPS. Short term, you can plug the rubber lines at the pump with a large bolt or plug and a clamp.

I only closed the lines on the cylinders with big screws, and put the hoses back over them, so it looks like the original. I don't have excessive cracking anymore, but sometimes I hear some rattling in the cylinder heads. Maybe it's sas reed valves that are rattling, is that possible. Should I remove them too?

No, search detonation or pinging in this section. It requires fueling revisions.

For V7III to disconnect the SAS:
Couldn't I just remove the hoses, cap all the ports and leave the electrical plug connected?
Or just cap the two head and the airbox ports and leave the electrical plug connected?
Or must it have the resister to trick the ecu?

This is a thread dedicated to a kit I have made to sell to those here. I request that you don't use this/my Forum to try and ask how to get around it not have to purchase anything. The kit is properly engineered to last as long as the bike without any issues. Capping the plugs at the plates is a bad idea, but you can try to do whatever you'd like. I offer an affordable long term solution...

I would argue it has a definite change in timbre after the SAS install, but how much it changes will depend on what type of exhaust you're running and how much of a departure it is from stock. One poster claimed no change with the stock setup. I'm currently running open (due to issues sourcing an E5 V9 exhaust - it's been a saga) and it took some of the 'treble' out of the exhaust note - sounds a bit more throaty.

Installed the SAS block off kit tonight.... should have read the thread before hand. Did not realised iI had to keep the sas pump plugged in. So now I have the CEL turned on....

After a whole 5 min of struggling, I too decided to removed the tank to install the blockoff plates. Made life much easier. Additionally, since I now realised I need to keep the pump. I took Mindis's idea of hiding it under the tank.

Made some changes along the lines of Mr Carbon Fibre himself - Mindis and moved the sas valve from it's original mounting point.

I removed the two mounting points on the valve and the 3 spigots so I was left with a tube, now wrapped in Gorilla tape. Fits nicely in the new location. Oh I lengthened the red/black wire as I couldn't get as much free cable out as the other wire.

That begs the obvious question- did you leave your SAS pump plugged in? It has to stay plugged in or it will trigger check engine light. Few of us here made that mistake already, I did that on purpose to confirm as well LOL
Actually I removed the entire Pump and Tubing.... (Seemed pretty pointless to leave it there...)

So you are saying I leave the Pump / Tubing dangling there?? Why not use a Dongle like the E4 Kit? (I´m confused...and starting to get upset!!)

Thanks for your comments / Assistance!
