Tuned and Synch'ed
Have completely read the OM and browsed through the SM. Lots of browsing and reading on the site here but I still have a few questions I couldn't find after searching here. Will be doing the first service of my 2017 (!) V7 III I just bought with 1023 miles on the clock.
1. Is there a special super-secret technique for removing the Incredible Hulk-resistant engine oil filler cap? I saw that little doohickey tool in the store but it's out of stock right now. I used a 30 mm socket to get it off but can't carry that massive thing around on the bike.
2. What is a good website for ordering Moto Guzzi OEM parts (the kind with online parts fiche -- not sure if I can mention the name of a few I found)? I did look through the Store link at the top of the page but it doesn't seem to carry all OEM parts like the o-rings and crush washers needed for routine maintenance.
3. Are there any cheaper-than-a-$350-center-stand hacks for lifting the rear of the bike for wheel removal or valve inspection?
4. Is there a specific seat treatment/protectant recommended for the stock V7 seats? Would any leather treatment do the job?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
