My '07 Norge has about 18K miles. I'm the third owner but basically the bike is stock. Last fall I installed an O2 Emulator to cure a very slight case of popping on decel. Last weekend I took my first really long ride and, over 4 tanks of gas, saw that I was only getting about 30 mpg. After about 675 miles I disconnected the Emulator and re-connected the O2 Sensor. Within 10 miles I had the check engine light come on. I pulled the sensor and it was coated with thick black carbon so I'm sure it was fouled from running so rich. Replacing the sensor solved the problem of check engine light. Now I'd like to fix the fouled sensor, if possible. What's the best way to clean this puppy up without making things worse? It's too darn expensive to just throw away. Oh, and now I have no popping on decel!
