So like most others I feel the need to have a second Guzzi in the garage and that it should be a pre-1980,s round head.
Now unless I win Lotto a V7 Sport or Le Mans 1 is off the books so I guessing I would be looking at an Eldo, T850, T3 1000SP etc.
Not to worried about originality, I am more interested ending up with a clean looking usable ride so give us your ideas on what would be a good bike to start with ?
And on another note, why the hell does Ebay stop me from looking at bikes for sale because I am outside the States. No such problems browsing Ebay UK etc.
Cheers.

OK, so no one wants to put there 2 cents in then ?
So does anyone know how to tell externally if barrels are still original chrome bores or they have been replaced with Nikasil lined bores.

All Eldorados and most Ts have chrome. Some T3s didn't have chrome, but weren't nikasil either. You might be able to get a scope in the spark plug hole but I doubt it. I would make the assumption at any bike not run regularly of this series will eventually need Gilardonis installed. Not sure about the SP, but probably nikasil from the factory.

I need to cut back on my reading of English history -- just now I'm halfway through Churchill's bio of his forebear, Marlborough -- as my first reaction to this thread was that some geek (other than I :giggle:) had posted something about the Cromwell and the New Model Army.

On a Guzzier note, the weather here will be stupendous tomorrow, so the only question is which member of the harem to mount. ;)

Bill

Bill, those four Guzzis are all yours? Not bikes of the past but bikes you own right this moment?

Yup. Well, the EV, Norge, and Griso, anyway. To my continuing regret, I sold the Ballabio.

As I tell folks -- including my indulgent spousal unit now and then  -- who ask about that," I ONLY have three; wish I could afford more."

To certain folks -- a set that NEVER includes said (not that) indulgent spousal unit :giggle:, I sometimes add "that's why God made brunettes, blondes, redheads, and more."

Best,

Bill

P.S. Think I'll take the Norge today. We are riding that in two weeks to western Kentucky for a mutton and motorcycle gathering -- report of last year's here: https://www.guzzitech.com/forums/threads/muttering-about-mutton.16119/ -- and I need to ensure it's as ready as I am.

Oh my goodness Bill. Wow! That food looked AWESOME. Is that open to the general public and if so where can I find some info? I love festivals like that and being Italian, lamb is my favorite meat. It's only a short 300 miles south from me and the Stelvio needs a shake-down-cruise for this season now that she has her new PC-V, 2 O2 sensors + Autotune, and Mistral Carbon Canister Exhaust.

Go to eBay.com/motors

That should get you off the UK site.

Cheers

Hi Min,
no problem getting onto Ebay.com/motors but a search for Moto Guzzi for sale only ever turns up a half dozen or so.
Been like that for a couple of years now, right pain in the arse.
