I have two Guzzis - V65 and 1978 SP 1000.
The small one is pretty smooth at any engine speed, can even handle idle speed running in top gear without much vibrations.
The big block is another story - best runs above 3500rpm in top gear but have excessive vibrations in handlebars at 3000 and again above 4000 rpm. Vibrations are felt on handlebars and engine, but not on footsteps, which are aluminium not the stock rubber covered. The vibration is definetly from the engine.
Lately I do some highway cruising at 120 and above km/h and these vibrations make the ride unpleasant.
The bike is stock except I replaced the points with electronic ignition. The carbs are balanced.
