Tesla Autopilot Crashes into and kills two Motorcycle Riders

I thought the same thing.

Correct me if I am wrong but when I was last in Scotland and Wales driving, I believed all of the UK is in mph and I would presume so is Northern Ireland.

Only the Republic of Ireland is in km/hr in all of Great Britain, correct?
How to upset a country in one easy lesson. Republic of Ireland is not in great Britain. Great Britain is the larger island of the two large islands, hence "great Britain and Northern Ireland"

My Subaru Outback has EyeSight. It’s okay and has some cool features like speed sensitive cruise control, but I keep the automatic lane departure feature turned off. I do not like vehicles that take control of the wheel from me at all.
I agree. My 2020 Outback, with 'Eyesight' if fine for cruise control and lin some cases, departure notification via the wheel nudge, IN SUMMER, but is down right scary in the winter when the wheel nudges you all of a sudden in slippery conditions. As for the active auto steer, or what ever it is called, after experimenting with it a bit on highways, rural roads, curves and straights, I do not trust it and will not use it.

I know that it is necessary to turn off traction control and stability control with SUV’s for driver to have full control on mixed traction surfaces like snow/ice where some wheels are breaking through to pavement or gravel. At least some true off-road capable SUV’s have switches to allow disabling the nannies.

We are at a time frame where cars have auto on headlights, windshield wipers, heaters, etc because people are too dumb to figure out old fashioned controls. Yet somebody thinks they will be smart enough to turn off the traction control!
Now Tesla is giving away auto driving software.
