My completed Tonti project. It started life as a 1979 V1000 G5. After a year of disassembly and reassembly this is how it came out....

And fantastic to say the least... nice job. With that tank alone, it *almost* makes me want to do another project. My SS was recently sold, and now shares space in the same garage as E.M.'s bikes here in L.A.;

This is how I bought it ('02 Stone);

The color was originally going to be a House of Kolor candy paint, but the cost for the paint alone, let alone the actual cost of spraying it was prohibitive.

I'll tell you a secret, but don't tell anyone else....

The black cherry metallic color on the project bike is....

a Chevrolet color.

Much less expensive, much easier to apply and touch up down the road.

I love that bike Hal, and it was my inspiration for my project.

Am I mistaken, or are those new exhaust pipes? Are those Bub Conti's?

Hey, I have seen that tank....

You bike now looks fabbo. What tank is that?

The new tank or the old tank?

The new tank is from HT Moto in Germany.

The old tank was the original G5 tank.
