Top speed hit on your Guzzi

indicated 220 or 221, I can't remember, but the garmin zumo says that's about 219 km/h - on a very very long straight with slight downhill and bit of tailwind... very long straight prairie roads in these parts!. If a deer or an antelope had jumped out, it doesn't bear thinking about... I still think I could have got it going faster.

Also 188 or something like that with full luggage and wife...

I have no idea what 220 is in those quaint old-fashioned "miles" those 'murricans use. But it feels really damn fast regardless of what we call it.

I cannot remember where it was, but it was a long long road angling slightly downwards.
It was out west somewhere, with nothing in sight that could hide a cop car .
We were 2 up, on the Breva 750, with all the touring gear, side bags & strap on bag.
I opened it up.
The Speedo went to 104 -105 Mph
I dunno where the clip went, but Momma has it somewhere, under Go Guzzi Go, or similar.
Take Care Out There.
Oh, for all you web trawling cops out there, this is not true !
Im just trying to impress my buddies !
Do me a favor ?
Don't tell them, ok ?
Now, can you take off the cuffs, Please ??

127.015 MPH thru the traps at El Mirage on the V7 Sport.
I was disqualified because I had a GPS reciever mounted on the tail light lens...
This year should be a little better.

Jeez, those western dust storms kick up bad! Be pretty nasty to be caught in that.
Trial run on the V7 Classic 4V I ndicated 124 mph...
Sounds good, I was flat out, thank god last tank had 93, but as said full touring bags + 2 up, there was nothing left, on the throttle.
So I guess you were Bagless & Solo, to get there ?
Also , you have to tell your State Troopers, your Speedo ..........Under reads !!!!!

Yep, bagless, solo, 4V heads, 8:31 gears in the bevel box...used to run out of steam at the ton...

Years ago after Louie mapped my PCIII in Acton or Little Rock, riding back with Don, My 02 Lemans with an open airbox, Mistral pipes and a dynolinked PCIII putting out 85bhp hit an indicated 142 before common sense got the best of me, it was sounding awesome and was certainly the fastest guzzi I had ever ridden for top speed, it wheelied easily and was a blast. While Chuck from Indiana's Scura had more bottom end, nothing I have ridden was as fast on top including an 8V Griso, but that is not designed for top end. I sure miss that bike
