I let the dealer do the first services,
'till warranty was gone,
then I did it myself:

It was a fun and pleasant job to do :)

You have the same engine as mine (V7 Classic)
and idle is adjusted with an Axone-computer only, as far as I know.
I'm afraid you 'll have to find a dealer with an Axone
Christiaan
so,
you push the grey ring plus black fuel line towards the red "thing"
then pull grey ring backwards
pull away everything?
That didn't work for me when I wanted to change the air-filter.
What did I do wrong?
Christiaan
with the ignition OFF;
push left button (trip/odo) and keep pushed;
switch ON ignition;
wait 'till the dials do there dance and the lights go out again
release button
switch ignition back OFF
next time you start the engine, the "maint"-thing will be gone :)

22500Km and the little computer in the V7c told me it was time for a maintenance
At first it was the dealer who did it,
but now I figured it was time that I got my fingers dirty
so, I bought me some stuff:
engine-oil
gearbox-oil
brake-fluid
oil-filter
valve cover seals
air filter
brake pads...
While at it:
draining the fluid
front
back:
the reservoir is hidden behind a panel
same technique as the front
fresh fluid in the reservoir
In the rear-system there was real brown brake-fluid,
so it was realy needed
Time to do the valves while the engine is cold!
remove plastic...
My V7c is in it's 3th winter
it's my commuter-bike, so it's been riding salty roads,
there's some rust on some places,
what doesn't get hot is sprayed with WD40: after every wash renew :)
after the winter the bike gets a thorough clean-up so it's ready for the summer.
I ride my bike more than I...
well,
I can't find it anywhere,
but I asked the dealer:
if he doesn't know, who does
new ones are 4.0mm thick (I measured mine and that's correct)
minimum is 3.6mm
Christiaan
something I was not able to find in the manual, nor in the workshop-manual, nor somewhere on-line:
what is the minimum thickness of the brake disks (front and rear) of a V7Classic(2008) ?
Thanks in advance
Christiaan
Hello Max :)
the bags came from Mutazu:
http://www.mutazu.com/products.php?cat_ ... s=prod.php
I've also bought the mounting brackets
http://www.mutazu.com/products.php?s=pr ... ackets.JPG
but, I had to make my own brackets:
Then I reinforced the inside:
and put some Guzzi decals on...
Thanks for that B)
I've lost some vibrations since I've put the gap setting at 0.65 (one was 0.7, the other 0.75).
You don't happen to have the correct valve clearances for a small-block, do you :?:
thanks in advance
Christiaan
resetting the "maint" thing is easy:
push the odo-trip button (and keep it pushed)
switch on ignition-key
wait 'till the Xmastree (all the lights) goes out
release button
switch off ignition
next start, the "maint" thing will be gone
