Stelvio Tyre Options, Opinions and Reviews

I looked at this thread and did not see any recomendations as I am looking for a tyre which will hold the road and give at least 7000 miles and can be purchased and fitted by a local fitter. I was hoping one of the local lads has changed their tyres and could give their pennies worth. If all I...

Where to find 2009 Stevio recalls etc?

Where to find 2009 Stevio recalls etc?

Pauldaytona not being mysterious but the person who told me would possibly not want his name mentioned on a website but rest assured the man knows guzzis and I would go with him 100%. I asked the question to him with a view to changing next year and that was his reply. Personally I know f%*k all...

Where to find 2009 Stevio recalls etc?

I have been reliably informed that the 2009 stelvio is exactly the same as the 2008 but with abs. This includes the new NTX which is exactly the same as the 2008 but with the add ons. Unfortunately this is all a marketing exercise to sell more bikes and would you beleive it mcn are making out...

    Help - I fear I might defect!

Hey FBC the twat suit has certainly been explained and can be regularly viewed outside any bmw motoradd throughout the western world while the stockbroker/professional is being cajoled into this years model on a pcp by the bmw salesman. I am suprised so many intelligent people want to look like...

    Help - I fear I might defect!

Mike C the 800 gs seems a great bike but having owned 2 bmws the people I know never had them. They were all 1200 gs and not the 800. I personally don`t like the parallel twin from bmw I find it lumpy and hard. There are also many issues with this model if you can believe the forums and I don`t...

    Can anything else go wrong!

Hi clentbiker, sorry to hear of your problems do you think the back up from your dealer has been adequate or could it have been better. I have done 3000 miles now and thankfully not a problem. If you can hold on you will find the engine gets better. In this day and age we should `nt have to put...

    had my Stelvio 9 days

Fatal out of curiosity who is the dealer. As there seems to be so many new or relatively new moto guzzi dealers about its hard to know who knows what they are doing. Some of the prices I was quoted for the first service were ridiculous and the vibe I got from some dealers were if you did not buy...

    Fuel Mileage.

Nearly 900 miles done on the stelvio and not impressed with fuel economy. I get about 120 miles on a full tank I can`t tell for sure if I am low so keep filling up when the fuel light comes on and the average fill up is £12.50. I hope after the 1st service things get better as everything else...

What does the average Guzzist do for a living?

Formerly a stonemason ( but still get my hands dusty) and now a works supervisor for the war graves commission. I travel the uk repairing restoring war memorials. After 20 odd years working on castles and stately homes mostly work in cemeteries. Classed as the second oldest profession in the...

    Lower seat

Gary thats the place I was in today and thats the price for front and back with a gel insert for the front only. I don`t think its too bad as I bought a bagsters seat for my versys 2 years ago and that was £230 with a kawasaki discount of 15%. Funnily enough I went to school beside the seat...

    Lower seat

Hi all, has anyone had their seat lowered as I am short in the leg department and need to get closer to the ground. Moto Guzzi don`t do any low seat options as yet and I am used to having a lower seat on the gs etc and have got my local seat coverer to reduce and recover the seat. The lower seat...
