Stelvio REGISTRY & Pics thread -- ADD YOUR BIKE

Here's the Stelvio parked outside the apartment we rented in Dordrecht, Holland. They have an approach to parking motorcycles that is far more relaxed than in the UK

    Stelvio won't start

Thanks for the replies and sorry for my late response. This was a case where I should have investigated before posting, but it was hosing it down at the time. The problem was nothing more than a very loose connection to the positive terminal. Bike's going great.

    Stelvio won't start

Hi all, My Stelvio NTX has suddenly become reluctant to start. Symptoms are as follows: turn key, ignition comes on and cycles. Go to hit start button and it just clicks, does not fire. If I disconnect the negative terminal, then reconnect, it will start either first, or second, or third time...

New Stelvio Owner - an issue

Here's the update. The used bike place I got the Stelvio from found a dealer near to them (90 miles from me) that could look at it today. The mechanic plugged it into the diagnostic - it showed a left coil error. This means Coil 1 (and therefore other parts marked 1 on the ECU diagnostics should...

New Stelvio Owner - an issue

I checked the grounds from the coils as per Canucks reply in this thread. As it's under warranty, I may just chance it until August 11th to get into the dealer as it is running fine, which is disconcerting as I said as if the coils were not functioning properly, then surely it would not run/run...

New Stelvio Owner - an issue

Hi John, It is an ECU code and they only have active in the ECU diagnostics. It's ECU 23 and has an X against it. I re-checked the grounds on both coils today - the error lists coil 1 but I don't know which this is. I also checked all wires into the coils and they all looked good.Also...

New Stelvio Owner - an issue

Here's the update. Took side panels off, boot and ground seems sound to me. Re-set errors through the diagnostic. Straight back with the red light and service. Booked it into my local Guzzi dealer (not very local). He can't see it until August 11th. He told me that if the bike had gone into...

New Stelvio Owner - an issue

Canuck, thanks for the reply. I have had a quick look (pouring down in London again) and it looks as though I need to take the fairing off in order to get to it. Is this the case?

New Stelvio Owner - an issue

Couldn't get to it yesterday due to work and heavy non-stop rain in London. Gone through the diagnostics today and I have a Coil 1 error DC gnd. EC23 I take it that is a ground error but can't find any more on it. Dealer I bought it from is not a Guzzi specialist so I have been told to contact...

    2008 - Stelvio v4 - should I?

I bought mine from Keep Biking last week, that is where the later model you are looking at is. Nice guys in the shop. I have developed a fault though (more on it in another thread), so we will see what their warranty and after sales service is like now. They will let you test ride but charge, I...

New Stelvio Owner - an issue

Thanks, I will have a look tomorrow. However it has (for once) been dry in London so wet cannot be the issue.

New Stelvio Owner - an issue

Hi All, I bought a 14 Stelvio NTX with 3000 miles on it on Tuesday. Previous bike was a V-Strom 1000. The Stelvio has put the biggest grin on my face in the 300 miles of so I have done since picking it up. I am off to Italy at the end of next week. Turning into my road tonight, the red...
