Clutch and front brake master cylinders

Both my clutch and front brake masters are a little tatty. Look like someone was a bit clumsy while bleeding them at some point. So I could spray them, but I got to thinking. Are there any "trick" alternatives to the stock items. Has anyone tried this.

Black Griso 1100 with Tenni SE Green repaint

What do you think. I love the Tenni green SE, but wanted the 1100, so I'm thinking about a respray. I've had a quote from a very reputable paint shop, and have sourced a brown saddle, but will it look right I wonder, with the subtle differences between the two bikes (silver frame, black...

    Looking at buying Griso.

In the UK, nice 1100's are very hard to find. Mine is a very late 2009, so it must have been one of the last one's to be sold having been on the showroom floor for quite a while. I paid a little over the odds for it, but I did get a bike in pretty much as new condition, with just 4,500 miles...

    Oh Dear, Clutch Slip

I just notice under very hard accelleration I have clutch slip. So is this going to be a big expensive job ? Where can I get the parts needed (UK) Any other pointers happily recieved.

I hear it all the time BMW,s are better!!!!!

Agree with all of that. Machines break, and this is one area where BMW have Guzzi beat. Supply of spare parts. Soul and character count for little when your 1998 Guzzi sits on the bench in need of parts you have virtually no hope of obtaining. Those same parts for the BMW would be at the dealers...

    Centauro fi

This is interesting. I have an 1100i Sport that also has a hiccup between 2,500 - 3,000rpm. It's got a full Termignoni system and the corrct chip fitted by the last owner. It's not intrusive and does it rarely, but it is there. It also sometimes stalls at a standstill for no apparent reason So...

    OEM full fairing Breva 750

As was said, made for the Police My money's on Stucchi as being the makers of these. They do virtually everything like this for Guzzi. Their factory's about a 5 minute walk away. Seen the Racer Record fairing and seat Kit for the V7 ? They're making these as well as their own design. How do I...

    V7 Racer production number

Yeah, lot's of bravado from behind the keyboard me thinks. Would anyone here really go up to a total stranger and say that. Well maybe an idiot not endowed with manners. In fact if you really are so rude to strangers, I'm surprised you''ve lived as long as you have, but then we can say what we...

2012 V7 Racer or OOPS Have I Made A Mistake?

With you on that one. I've just ridden a 2012 model and to be perfectly honest, if there is more power there, I didn't notice. In fact side by side, both bikes felt pretty much the same to me apart from the gearbox, which I must admit did feel a little crisper on the new bike.

    V7 Racer production number

There is a difference between the way you voiced your opinion, and the offensive manor in which PR goes about it. I would say, if it's not something you would dare say to a stranger face to face, then it's no more acceptable on a forum. Be honest, if a total stranger came up to you at a bike...

    Noisy Griso

Over the last week I've been considering a used Griso SE. After wading through this, I think I'm gonna pass :o

Griso RH footrest plate removal question

No, that's crap. I did exactly the same to mine when I dropped it on my drive. The lug that holds the rear brak pedal just snapped. It was a good few years ago now, but I removed the plate and brake assembly really easily, without any of that aggro. It was back in 2007, and my memory is a bit...

    V7 Arrow Pipes

Anyone here using Arrows on their V7. I'm getting two schools of thought from people I know. They either say, bolt em on and ride, or Noooooooo, you must adjust fuelling. Did you notice your bike running rich and did you make any fuelling mods.

    That damn fuel spigot

Someone on a forum (can't remember which one), wrote that if you disconnect the fuel pump, and then turn the engine over a couple of times for 5 seconds, it's much easier to disconnect due to pressure being released on the fuel line. I tried this, and it was like magic. It really did work for...

    HELP - MY BIKES BROKEN

I'm not surprised it's a common problem. The neutral sensor protrudes at the rear of the gearbox, and the sensor uses a rather feeble spade connector with a rubber boot. I "jiggled" it and suddenly the bike came back to life. So I squeezed the connector to create a tighter connection and sprayed...

    HELP - MY BIKES BROKEN

Turns out there was a bad connection on the neutral sensor on top of the gearbox at the rear of the gearbox. Totally unrelated to where I was working. A complete coincidence.

    HELP - MY BIKES BROKEN

So today I'm a bit bored, looking at my V7 thinking, I'll take the fairing off and put it back to standard. Just felt like a bit of a change. Anyway, it's all going fine. Get everything back in place minus the headlamp and indicators, and turn on the ignition to make sure the clocks are plugged...

V7 racer cold start issue..... Tips?

I used to have this problem with my Racer. Until it was warmed up it used to stall, jerk and kangaroo all over the place but I've developed a cold start technique that works for me every time. I don't touch the cold start lever. I just turn over the engine with the throttle slightly open till it...

V7 racer - chrome tank issue

I replaced my tank and performed a modification that took 30 seconds, which prevented it happening again. I posted it up here, but clearly people can't be bothered to do a bit of research.
