Re: F.S.M. at the Rock Store - Feb. 7th

I should be there for a bit as that is also Superbowl Sunday and we have a party to go to later that day. This is providing the wife doesn't keep me out too late for my birthday on Saturday.

Hey Jon,

I just took the griso apart and found my squish clearance to be .095"+ no wonder it pinged.

After removing the base gasket and doing some head work, it's now .05 all the way around, and the squish band is wider too by about 3/16. Compression is at 10.8:1 now, so if it runs ok, i'd really like you to try it.

Yeah, it was nice having both, but the lease on the Porsche was $1800 per month and I just can't afford that any more.

By the way, if you ride in the T.O. area be VERY careful on Eastbound Potrero road at the hairpin between Newbury Park and Westlake (just above Tom Selleck's house). The road looks clear coming into the turn, then you meet up with a nasty concoction of sand and gravel. I put my foot out and slid through it, but my friend went down on his BMW-- suffering a bruises to his rear end and to his ego.

Re: F.S.M. at the Rock Store - Feb. 7th

Yea, I’m in .I need a reality check. The fear and anxiety basting my pitiful presents on this God forsaken planet in these depressed times call for a visceral remedy. I think a sphincter clench in a decreasing radius corner is in order.

Re: F.S.M. at the Rock Store - Feb. 7th

It is supposed to rain friday through saturday, which means crummy canyons. Do we want to push this a week?

Re: F.S.M. at the Rock Store - Feb. 7th

Ridin in the rain sucks, I'm in for waiting a week, just went out and fired up ropers scura, sucker runs nice, the gas in it is now over a year old so I need to do some ridin on it..

Re: F.S.M. at the Rock Store - Feb. 7th

Stunt Rd and others around it are currently undergoing shoulder reconstruction, meaning plenty of dirt and mud being left behind. They did me the favor tonight of rinsing it off leaving a nice slick-as-snot slimy layer. Next Sunday is fine for me. See you guys next weekend... bummer is the Stuper-Bowl would've likely kept the crowds away this Sunday. Bummer.

Re: F.S.M. at the Rock Store - Feb. 7th

If it's dry, I'll probably take the wife up there anyway since we won't be trying to chase down Todd.

Next weekend will probably work as well although that will be Valentine's Day - I know Todd won't have to worry about that, he can just bring his lady along for the day.

what about going on saturday? Is that blasphemy?

Blasphemy? Not in my view. I think it's the smart thing to do, all the time, to avoid the mass squids & zoo scene there every Sunday. Much more pleasant on Saturdays. Good luck gettng a concensus to go that way, though. If you do, let me know & I'll most likely be there. If Sunday, any Sunday, I pass.

Re: F.S.M. at the Rock Store - Feb. 7th

So it sounds like i have a few buddies for saturday. Where are you all coming from?
