Weekly Meets?

It's been really quiet here, so post if anyone is headed up/out.

I'm still doing the Friday lunch bunch at the Rock Store. I'll be on Ruby (my '88 Concours) again this week as the fairing for Sophia (my '07 Norge) just got to the shop yesterday and I won't get her back until Saturday or Sunday.

Hope to see more Guzzis there. We had three one day last month - that's almost a rally quorum for SoCal these days.

JD, you saying that you go to the Rock Store like every Friday for lunch? If so, that is something I could do most of the time-though not today, already 10:45 & I have some things to do. Post back, let me know. You usually get there like noon, or when?

Didja ever think of GMR, the 39(San Gabriel Cyn) or Mountain Rd. and lunching in Mt. Baldy? Get a good, usually uncluttered ride in and enjoy lunch That could be a bit more centralized and not as far as Newcomb's. And better service. Not that I have anything against Newcomb's, but don't be in a hurry to eat! Or the restaurant at Crystal Lake at the top of the 39 has a pretty good rep. haven't eaten there myself, though, Been tempted to try it when I'm in the neighborhood, though.

GMR's lots of fun, but sometimes dirty; the top of San Gabriel Cyn is fun too.

Newcomb's food (and service - of course I'm usually there earlier in the morning) is a lot better than anything in Mt. Baldy Village, but there are a couple of places with good eats farther up Mt. Baldy Rd. I wouldn't call the lodge at Crystal Lake a "restaurant," but what food there is there is pretty good and Adam, the owner/proprietor, is a very nice person and deserves our business.

I haven't been to Crystal Lake in a few months, and it's been even longer since I've ridden GMR. I'm available just about anytime/any day if you want a "guide." ;)

Hey Mike, I'd like to take a ride with you. You want to plan on something for next Tuesday or Wednesday?
Mike

Forgot this: any chance of your bringing your ST-R? I rode a '12 with a bunch of extras Thursday on Little T and liked it, and would just like to do a 5-10minute comparison.

Sure, I can do that. It's at the clubhouse at the moment, but I should bring it home anyway in order to make an appointment for some recalls.

Something besides ABS recall? And pls give me a heads-up on which day & time and where to meet ;)

I haven't got the notice yet on the ABS recall - I don't know if my bike was in the batch for it. I got something on a throttle tube recall.
Do you know where the clubhouse is? If you'd like to meet over there I can put on my gear and it's convenient to the mountains. Tuesday? 9:30? If you have another preference, I'm open.

See you Tuesday, 9:30 at the Clubhouse (used to get my 851 serviced there when Mike Moran was open-to-the-public).

Okay, so Mike & I had a very nice ride to Newcomb's last week, and hoping we can do it again this Tuesday or Wednesday. Mike??? And if there's anyone else that would like to join us, just chime in.

Just heard from Mike B., Bob, and he's open on Wednesday. We'll probably go up to Newcomb's and can meet you at the Shell station. I'll let you know the time if you can make it then - probably around 9:30 or so.

I would like to join you guys this Wednesday for the ride to Newcombs. My real name is Paul, and I am a first time Guzzi owner, long time motorcyclist. I've been riding canyons quite a bit with local group, but most of those miles were on my old Kawasaki Versys. I'll see you at the Shell station in the morning on Griso!

Er... which Shell station, I should ask?! Is this the La Canada station at the intersection of the 2 and 210 (4530 Angeles Crest Highway)...?
