Where are the 2012 Stelvios?

Weird - the new 2012 Norge in the dealers showroom didn't have turn signals in the mirrors

BTW - I got my VIN# today and they were expecting the truck today or tomorrow morning for me to pick-up hopefully Saturday. - they didn't say anything about funky mirror issues

Just spoke to my dealer, All Seasons Sport in Wooster, Ohio.

I bought my 1200 Sport there two years ago.
Say hello to Steve Foote for me, great guy and IMO a great shop to do business with. I rode my FJR out and traded it in after swapping emails with pics, receipts, etc.

The 2012 Stelvio and Norge both have their signal lights in the fairing not the mirrors!

You need to read backwards in this thread - that is the basis for what I had written

You should have said "You need to read earlier posts" not "You need to read backwards"

. . . And actually I did read all the previous posts in the thread and yours were not clear (like your remarks above,) that's why I illuminated the "signal-in-the-mirror" situation, in my usual articulate manner! ;)

MPH Cycles Facebook page shows a few Stelvios being unwrapped, in the crate.... and though the mirrors are not mounted yet there are plastic fairing blanks where Euro bikes would have turn signals.

Just saw the pics with the mirrors mounted. Signals in the mirrors and blank (looks like punch out) covers in the faring. Damn. Means I'll have to spend time on gettin it done right!

Of course, that's the US. Could be different here. We don't do the California gas fume canister thingy here. Fingers crossed. :D

US bikes have the front indicators painted - mirrors have signal lamps in them

I picked my bike up at MPH earlier this morning - Mike recons this might be the first on delivered to a customer in the US

Pics in my driveway - I'm very impressed with this bike after a quick 120 mile ride home

Lucky you boxermoose! I am planing to pick up mine on June 15th in Richmond, BC, hopefully it will be there by then.
I wonder if Canadian bikes will have the same front turn signals, I can't say I like this setup, but no doubts, they are much more visible this way.
What kind/brand tires are on these bikes?

I feel a prediction coming on. every new NTX owner in North America will be doing a mirror/signal switch.

Congrats you Lucky Dog!

I get mine next week. I love the signals in the mirrors but I think the SWEET setup will be to install the body signals in tandem so there will be an upper and lower signal. MAXIMUM FRONTAL VISIBILITY :D

I will be on a quest for those signals!

Again, congrats and thank you for the great pics. ;)

I think the turn signal thing could very likely be a DOT thing in the U.S., and that Canadian bikes would be to Euro spec. That's my WAG anyway.

I believe the tire(s) are either Tourance or Pirelli Scorpion.

Scorpions were fitted to mine - so far, 400 miles, seem pretty good but I'll probably go Tourances next for longevity as the Texas roads are abrasive

Some of the mfr'r pics show Tourances - and at first I hoped that was what would come on mine, but I'm having Heidenau K60's mounted and taking the oem tires home for later.

I used to get insane mileage out of Tourances on my R1150GS Adv.

I think you'll find the vibration in the mirrors with the directionals is a real pain. The 1200 Sport/Euro spec mirrors are much clearer.

Mirrors and Euro turn signals can be gotten from Todd Haven @ MPH Cycles.

Actually kinda surprised the NTX doesn't come with the CARC guard. Everything else is there, why wouldn't they throw in the guard?

I'm not sure the NTX "comes with" ANY of the extra stuff on it. I think boxermoose paid extra for the panniers ($1200), engine guards ($300+), hand guards ($250), auxiliary lights ($200+) and possibly some other things. Sounds like he just chose not to buy the CARC guard with all that ....
I could be wrong but that's easy to determine!
