Thanks for your "gentleness" . . . I do have one more follow up. I park my Griso upright in a wheel chock. Should the oil level be checked on the side stand? When it's standing straight up the level cuts across the dipstick at quite an angle as opposed to when it's leaned over.
Or am I making...
When you check the oil level (Griso 1100) do you screw the dipstick all the way in to get a level or do you just place it back in the filler hole to get a level?
I'm having a complete brain fade episode here. . . .

Due to a number of extremely unfortunate circumstances my 2007 Griso 1100 has been sitting in my brother-in-laws basement for almost four months now. For awhile the battery was on a Battery Tender put that was unplugged some time ago (inattentive brother-in-law, urrrrr).
It was started up and...
A short video of my ride today. Nothing fancy just an easy ride north west of the Dallas TX area. I actually was trying out a GoPro HD Hero2.

The A750 has what appear to be some slotted brackets to allow for adjustments. If the A755N has the same hardware as the A750 then I should be able to make minor adjustments for angle.
I think I'm going to go with the A755N in a matte black finish. I will post a picture once it's installed.
So it seems that the Givi A770 is fully discontinued and not available. The next best options seem to be the A755N and the A750.
The A755N is 14" high by 18" wide.
The A750 is 16" high by 15" wide.
Both have smoked screens and are available in matte black and gloss silver (the A750 also comes...

has several good tables for determining the recommened settings for a variety of fasteners of all sizes and "types" i.e. Nm, ft lb, etc.
Three solutions to the issue
Least complex - adjust slack out of throttle cables.
Still quite easy - remove charcoal canister
A little more complex - check TPS and adjust TB sync and balance.
For my 2007 Griso - removing the charcoal canister had the most positive results.

Here's a pic of the Cortech setup on my Griso - the tailbag was bought quite some time ago and the saddlebags were bought last fall - hence the different logos
That's the GTR-Rx pipe.
hmnmmm . . . I actually got a few more of the "liver spots" but on just the left header. It had a few before but I installed the ECU upgrade and a bunch more appeared. However the bike runs better and the "pop" on deceleration with the GT-Rx pipe is gone :)
I don't have the PCV or the Autotune...
I was at an Artist Retreat Thursday thru Sunday at Laity Lodge just north of Leakey. I left Dallas on Wednesday, stayed in Fredericksburg that night and rode over on Thursday. I left Sunday around noon and turned a 6 hour or so ride into 9.5 hours just enjoying the roads :)
I just got back from an 900 Mile trip to/from the Texas Hill Country.
These pictures show the Cortech panniers and tail bag. The tank bag is an old Roadgear that I've had for years. The pipe is the GT-Rx from Guzzi-tech and it all clears nicely
I had the rear wheel suspended the other day doing some cleaning and whatnot. I had cleaned around the speed sensor and wanted to see if it was still operating properly. I started the engine, selected first, released the clutch. As the rear wheel turned, ever so often I would hear a very...
For my 07 1100 about 90% of the driveline snatch disappeared when I removed the charcoal canister. I had the same issue about throttle adjustments in corners and had to really work the clutch and throttle to minimize sudden changes. I can't explain why removing the canister smoothed it out so...
...in steps above. If difference exists open ONLY the by-pass screw on the side with the higher (most) under-pressure to obtain correct balance.

This seems to indicate that the by-pass screws on the throttle bodies are the "fine" adjustment if the difference of vacuum between...
