The Eldorado just became too unreliable for me to keep her. It was with a heavy heart that I traded her in. Such a shame because she was so much fun to ride. Thanks for all the help on this forum over the past two years. Ride on!
I feel your pain! My 2016 Eldorado has had nothing but electrical problems. Found out my dealer also did not order all warranty parts correctly, that's why it takes any part three to four months to come in. I managed about 400 miles before the service light came on again! I love riding this bike...
I have had my heated Corbin on my Eldorado for about a year now. It totally transformed the bike for me, I can ride all day without any discomfort and I love the backrest.
That is correct. Like stated above since you will be going to a one piece seat you need the rack and yes it bolts right up. Not sure about the touring seat but the Corbin attaches just perfectly. I think it looks great and totally changed the comfort of the bike.
Here is what I ordered from Corbin:
Heated saddle for the California 1400
Black bomber jacket leather seating
Stealth stitch pattern
Seating white thread
Black bomber jacket leather sides
Black welt
White logo
Oval backrest standard in matching black bomber jacket
I also had to order Hepco...
I cannot feel the post at all. The backrest helps keep me a little more upright but it is a very natural position. I am very glad that I did the co$ley upgrade!
It keeps my posture correct and I do like leaning back into it to stretch out if needed. I always felt like I was slumping down with the stock seat if I rode more than an hour or so. My BMW K75S came with a no cost option Corbin when I bought her back in 93. Have always liked the Corbin.
Did my first trip with the Corbin. Did a 900 mile weekend up to Savannah Ga. The difference in the Corbin with the back rest and heat totally transformed the Eldorado. Best upgrade I did with this bike!
Well I finally got around to ordering a Corbin for the Eldorado. I choose the bomber jacket look instead of solid black. Very happy how it turned out much more comfortable to ride now. What do you think?
Does anyone know if the 1400 California Corbin seat will work on an Eldorado? I really would like a riders backrest. Got used to one on my Victory Cross County Tour. Thanks.
I took the bar end weights off, used some liquid soap and the grip puppies slid right on. Have not yet rode with them yet due to the cold weather. Yes we do have winter here in Florida, if only for a few weeks.
Thanks guys. Will check out the switch this weekend. Starting to wonder if it might not be the fuel pump. Got caught in some rain this morning riding home from work, noise seems to be coming from the front of the motor. Wonder if it might be the alternator belt. See what I can find out.
