hi everybody.
I'm in trouble! On my V75, after a battery change, the 3rd fuse blew on first try. The starter worked, but no ignition. Changed fuse, it started OK, but after one minute, stopped again, and this time, nothing left: no starter, no ignition .
There' is probably a short...
For Blaufeld. T hanks,. a V75 is an uncommmon model, few were made. the last upgrade from the " small blocks family" they started with the 350cc V35, then V50, V65, and finally, V75. It is a 750cc, witn an engine made out of the 650, but, they had allready taken all the metal out inside...
Hi. we sure need something to make us dream a bit! but the project was on long before today. It comes finished at t the right time, I can go and take a ride around to do something else than stay at home and hear about the virus..... regards.

Hi everybody.
I am looking for infos about the small and very rare V35NTX, a bike sold beetween 1985 and 1988, with a 350cc engine and a trail frame and forks. It was a fine little bike, and it seems none has survived. I intend to try and rebuild one, but I would have to find a frame, this...
Hi everybody. Just a little message to tell that I just finished the restoration of my V75. It was longer than I thought, but very interesting to take and old machine , take it to pieces and succeed in putting it bak together. And it works quite fine. lots of fun. for all people who would...
thank you John, all this is appreciated. As you said , the Guzzi engine is fairly simple to work on. Real mechanical assemblies, and nothing tricky!
If you ever plan to come to Europe, keep my adress, and fell free to stop here.
nice rides to you. H...
Hello everybody. Quite a long time since last word with Guzzitech. I finished my nice V75, and did the fine tuning jobs. very interesting. After a few hundred miles around, I realised that the performance was not as expected.
well, the compression on one side is low. so , lets go for a...
hi everybody.
My rebuilt V75 is now on the road, and I think of some improvements for the winter workshop sessions.... I want to lighten the whole machine a bit. the Lucas starter is horribly heavy, and I wonder if an alternate model , would be available? If somebody has made a swap...
Hi Jake. thank you for help. I did all the checks and isolated coils first and then the boxes. doing so, I cleaned and changed somme connections, and , it seems to have done the trick. probably a gremlin in some of these old wires. I did not change it all, since they looked " clean enough…"...
Hello everybody
I shave trouble with my newly reborn V75. It had a misfire on the left cylinder, and it got worse, untill no spark at all! I have checked the HT leads, coils, wires, and now suspect the " black box " It is a Motoplat ignition. anybody with a sure way to detect a...
hi again. we did not get manyV 75 either in europe. the V6( was the most common. They made the bigger to try to cope with the new japanese of the time, but it was a bit useless, the kawasaki ninja was 70 mph faster for nearly the same price… But the V75 prepared the V7's of today, ...
I steve. I see that you sent the message at 4.22AM. Did you have an inspiration , coming back from a disco? anyway, thanks for it.
my bike has an electronic ignition. I checked it and tried some very slight moves to see if it would make difference. nothing evident, it is back to normal...
Hi. it is a 1987 italian made, of course, but sold in France, with the 2 valve heads. it used to be dressed with a big road fairing, as used by the police. All is gone now, i made it a pure roadster, 16 pounds lighter. all is OK, except these backfires… H
hi, good advice, , I'm going to try it and have a go. thanks a lot. any way of measuring the coil to see what is wrong? i do not have many infos on the electrics of this bike. ( not very electric specialist either…) I guess there is a resistance level that shows if the coil is OK, but I don't...
Hi everybody.
My V75 is on the road after 2 years of rebuild. A nice bike, very torquey and fun. The engine runs well, but keeps giving a few misfirings on the left cylinder. when reving low, and accelarating again, it bangs a couple of times. sometimes also going downhill. plugs and...
Hi everybody. a french guzzi man, I just restored a V75, had to change the exausts, (too rusted) for short "megaton" pipes, with sound killer. also put KN filters. I look for carb settings for this combination, if someone allready tried it.
I feel the mix is too lean, and i plan to put...
Hi Phillip.
I don't know if you still have this V75, I got one myself a while ago as a project similar to yours. the bike was working fine, and i made a complete dismantling, to rebuild it . I would like to know if you still got yours, and how it works, I am looking forward to ride mine again...
