Help installing the OEM mounting plate on a V85TT

I have faith you'll get it sorted, mine was installed at the dealer before I took delivery so I've never had to give it a thought.

Help installing the OEM mounting plate on a V85TT

Here you can see the front bolt through the hole in the rack, at least I'm hoping it's the same rack. This is the one on my 2020 with the OE rack and boxes from the Adventure model. Back bolts from the top: Underneath

    V85tt valve head rubber gaskets

They are quite robust. I bought a spare when I bought my bike, 4 years ago now, and have never felt the need to use it after a valve check.

V85TT how good is it for long hauls ???

It is fine for me. I picked mine up in Austin, TX in January 2020 and rode it home to Tucson. I've ridden it from Tucson to Chicago and back, and then down into Mexico. Since I've moved closer to family I don't have as many big mile trips on my horizon, but it's my only bike so if I did then I...

    Breva 1100 dashboard failure?

I had a similar failure on my 1200 Sport. I can't remember all the steps I went through but I know I went through 3 separate dashboards until I finally sent mine to Carmo in the Netherlands for repair. There was water damage in the circuits, they repaired the circuits and then applied multiple...

    07 Breva V1100 engine swap

I've seen one running around Tucson, but he had a full, wrecked, 1200 Griso as a donor and swapped out everything specific to the 1200.

Steel mounting plate for aluminium box - V85TT

Stock aluminum bags on the V85 are by MyTech. They have a website out there and may sell the mounting plate separately.

    Mark Marquez; All In

Alternatively, Red Bull TV (free app) has a multi part special with Jack Miller. It covers the 2022 season and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Has anyone done a load test on the starter?

U.S. spec vs. European taillight and indicators

Not a V7, but I'll bet my V85 experience is similar. I didn't care for the big signals, but the worst was the spacers they put on the front signals to make them legal in the US. On my V85 it was going to be a bit of work to get the spacers out, so I decided to go with the Euro signals as I liked...

How far do you ride ?

Every electric vehicle I've seen has the charger built into it, that determines the maximum charge speed the vehicle is capable of. The cord is the EVSE, Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment, and it is how the electricity gets from the plug to the vehicle. The EVSE for the Zero I test rode was...

Need link to thread for lowering foot pegs for 2008 Breva Sport

Yes, 2008 1200 Sport. I think I adjusted the brake link arm because I thought it would lower the brake pedal, but it did not. But it may have made it so the brake didn't engage until I pressed on it. I had previously installed some Buell pegs which required a lot of grinding to work and may...

Need link to thread for lowering foot pegs for 2008 Breva Sport

knightdesignllc.com/Products/Motorcycle/Moto-Guzzi/Year-Menus/Moto-Guzzi-Motorcycle-2008-Menu.html These are what I had on mine. I didn't buy any extra lever extensions, the shifter could be repositioned and the brake lever was fine for me. The standard US side stand touched the lowered pegs...

    V85TT Tubeless Wheel Conversion

I've used Shinko 705 tires for a long time, I agree with Marco_Guzzi in that you can't beat the price and value. They will likely show up on my V85 at the next tire change.

    Online Learning / Training resources

I attended a Ride Like a Pro class about two years ago. I think Jerry Palladino created the class but individuals can become certified to provide it on their own, I was in Marana, AZ. It was all low speed friction zone work; while I was worried about what I was doing to my clutch for a while...

    V85TT tappet noise.

When these things get hot they tend to do that, at least mine does. Once I can get some movement going in clear air to cool it all down then things get back to normal.

    V85TT clutch slack adjust

Unless you make a fix on the little arm that holds the adjuster in place you'll find your clutch will adjust itself in short order again. I ended up fastening a zip tie lightly to hold the little spring arm in place and haven't had trouble since. Here's a picture of the adjuster before I put...

    2019 V85TT upgrade

While you can get the tubeless wheels of the '21 model, the newer bike has a completely different ECU the bits that go along with that. While anything is possible, I think it would be a huge amount of expensive work to make a 2021 out of a 2019 and likely cheaper to just sell your 2019 and buy...

    V85TT E4 vs E5

Good luck with the new bike. I hope you like it as much as I like mine.

    V85TT E4 vs E5

I'm quite pleased with my 2020 and at this point would not pay an extra $2500 for the newer model. The tubeless wheels are worth it to me and it looks like they're about $1100 to buy new with about an 8-week wait.
